Materials for this teambuilding exercise

Each team has been given the sum of $15 with which to purchase materials from the Observers and these may be purchased at the following prices.

• map of Manhattan - $2
• flip chart paper - $3 for 5 sheets
• flip chart marker - $1 per market
• sellotape - $3 per roll
• Pritt Stick glue - $2 per roll
• Stapler - $2
• Scissors - $3
• Ruler - $1
• Notebook paper $1 for 5 sheets
• White letter sized card - $1 for 5 sheets
• Polaroid camera rental - $4 for 15 minutes

Brief:

You will be required to do some field research within Manhattan (or wherever you are doing the teambuilding exercise) to gather as much information as needed to design and produce promotional items. "you are now meeting to pool your ideas, decide on a way forward and design and build the promotional items required by the competition to time and budget.

At the end of the set time period for the competition the judges who consist of a panel from the Tourism Board will award prizes for the most creative and innovative promotional items produced.

Only teams who submit both items will be considered for the prizes by the judges, whose decision is fin. No further assistance will be given after the purchase of materials. There will be no refunds or exchanges or use of stolen or borrowed materials.

Timing:

Both teams must meet back here with their completed promotional ideas by [time].

Each team will be required to present their ideas in a 5 minute presentation to the panel of judges from the Tourist Board and the wider group.
